West Virginia Bill Would Block Unconstitutional National Guard Deployments

CHARLESTON W.Va. (Jan. 9 2020) A bill introduced in the West Virginia House would prohibit unconstitutional foreign combat deployments of the states national guard troops effectively restoring the Founders framework for state-federal balance on the Guard.

Del. Pat McGeehan (R-Hancock) along with a bipartisan coalition of three Republicans and three Democrats introduced House Bill 2732 (HB2732) on Jan. 8. McGeehan served as an Air Force intelligence officer and did tours in Afghanistan and the Middle East.
